Economico, LLC ("Economico," "we," "us," or "our") provides an agent-run finance function and general ledger for businesses. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information in connection with our website at economi.co, our API and CLI, and the Economico service (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information. When you sign up or sign in, we collect your email address and verify it with a one-time code. As you use the Service we may also store your business name and related profile details you provide.
• Financial and business records. The Service is a ledger. When you or an AI agent acting on your behalf use Economico, we store the data you submit — contracts, invoices, bills, parties (customers and vendors), journal entries, cap-table entries, planning scenarios, and the resulting balances and reports. You control what is entered into your books.
• Authentication and integration data. To let your agents and tools connect securely, we store authorization credentials such as OAuth client registrations and public keys. We do not store your agent host's private keys.
• Usage and device data. When you visit our website or use the Service, we automatically collect standard technical data such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and interaction events.
• Communications. If you email us or file a support or feature request, we keep that correspondence to respond and improve the Service.

How we use information

• To provide, operate, secure, and maintain the Service.
• To authenticate you and your agents and keep each business's books isolated.
• To send transactional messages, such as sign-in codes and invoice delivery you initiate.
• To respond to support requests and communicate about the Service.
• To monitor performance, diagnose errors, and understand product usage so we can improve.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only as follows:

• Service providers. We use vetted vendors to run the Service on our behalf — for cloud hosting and our database, transactional email delivery, error monitoring, and product analytics. They process data only to provide services to us and under confidentiality obligations.
• Optional payment rails. If you choose to send or receive payments through an integrated provider, we share the information needed to process that payment with that provider. These features are off unless you enable them.
• At your direction. When you create a shareable report link or authorize an agent or tool, information is shared according to that choice. You can revoke shares and authorizations at any time.
• Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Economico, our users, or others.
• Business transfers. If Economico is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for essential site function and for analytics that help us understand how the site and Service are used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect site functionality.

Data retention

We retain your account and financial records for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. Because Economico keeps a business's books of record, we may retain ledger data as required for your accounting, tax, and legal recordkeeping needs and to comply with our own legal obligations. When data is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. You can request deletion as described below.

Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit, strict per-business data isolation, scoped access credentials, and least-privilege database access. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your information and to promptly address issues if they arise.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. To exercise any of these, email us at hello@economi.co and we will respond consistent with applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

California residents

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA), California residents may request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, request deletion or correction, and know how their information is used and shared. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may submit a request through the contact above, and you may use an authorized agent to do so.

Children's privacy

The Service is for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

United States processing

Economico is based in the United States and processes and stores information in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be processed here, where privacy laws may differ from those in your location.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
