Pricing is usage-based: standard accounts pay 0.10% of recognized revenue with a $5 minimum per 30-day billing cycle when revenue is positive. YC founders get the first $100,000 of recognized revenue all-time fee-free. There are no tiers or seats. Usage below determines what you pay. ### Economico (usage-based) - **Price:** no fixed monthly fee. You pay only the usage-based revenue fee described under Usage. - **Interval:** every 30 days, in arrears. - **Full access from signup:** YC verification is optional and only affects pricing. - **YC founder allowance:** verified YC founders pay no revenue fee on their first $100,000 of recognized revenue all-time. - **Included for every business:** - Full double-entry general ledger with a standard chart of accounts - Invoicing in US dollars or stablecoins, delivered by payment link, email, or settlement rail - Customer and vendor records - Bills and expense tracking - Revenue recognition and monthly revenue summaries - Balance sheet and income statement on demand - Startup-credit tracking and automatic draw-down against approved vendor bills - What-if planning scenarios over the live ledger - Report-sharing links for investors or accountants - Access from any MCP-capable agent and from the command-line tool - Unlimited people and agents connected to your books - **Buyer fit:** founders standing up a new SaaS or consulting business with no finance person, no books to migrate, and an AI agent they already use. ## Limits - **Seats / users:** unlimited, not charged. - **Businesses:** one set of books per business account. - **Invoices, customers, journals, reports:** no fixed caps. Usage is measured by recorded revenue, not record counts. - **API and agent requests:** no per-request charge. Requests may be rate limited to protect the service; normal agent-driven use is not affected. - **Storage:** no separate storage charge. - **Credits:** Economico does not use a prepaid credit system for billing. It can track vendor promotional credits, such as cloud or AI startup credits, in the customer's own books. - **Support:** email support at hello@economi.co for all businesses. - **Reset rules:** fees are calculated per 30-day billing cycle. The standard $5 minimum applies every cycle; the YC founder allowance is lifetime. ## Usage Economico has one usage-based fee, billed every 30 days in arrears in US dollars. ### What "basis points" means A basis point is one-hundredth of one percent: - 10 basis points = 0.10% = $1 for every $1,000 - 50 basis points = 0.50% = $5 for every $1,000 ### Revenue fee "Revenue" means the revenue your business earned in a calendar month under standard accrual accounting (the revenue your income statement recognizes for that month). Worked examples: - A standard account with $800 of revenue in a 30-day cycle: $5 minimum. - A standard account month with $250,000 of revenue: 0.10% of $250,000 = $250. - A YC verified account with $40,000 lifetime revenue so far and $80,000 this month: $20,000 is above the remaining allowance, so the fee is $20. ### Caps and overages There are no overage charges and no usage caps. Fees scale with your recognized revenue. ## Examples These show the revenue fee for a month. ### Example 1: Early-stage solo consultant - YC verified, records $7,500 of revenue, still under the lifetime allowance. - Revenue fee: $0. - **Total: $0.** ### Example 2: Growing B2B business - Standard account, records $40,000 of revenue. - Revenue fee: 0.10% of $40,000 = $40. - **Total: $40.** ### Example 3: Established business - YC verified, has already used the lifetime allowance, records $300,000 of revenue. - Revenue fee: 0.10% of $300,000 = $300. - **Total: $300.** Economico charges a small fraction of a percent of recognized revenue. ## Terms - **Renewal:** nothing to renew. Billing runs in rolling 30-day cycles with no contract term; each cycle is billed on its own actual usage. - **Cancellation:** stop using Economico at any time. Because billing is in arrears, your final bill covers your last active 30-day cycle. No cancellation fee. - **How you pay:** you save a payment card when you sign up, and Economico charges it automatically at the end of each 30-day cycle. Each charge is backed by an Economico invoice you can view and download. - **Refunds:** usage-based fees reflect activity that already happened and are generally non-refundable. If you believe a fee was charged in error, contact hello@economi.co and we will review it. - **Taxes:** prices are exclusive of any applicable sales tax, VAT, GST, or similar taxes, which are added where required by law. - **Contracts:** no long-term commitment and no minimum spend. Your order form incorporates the Common Paper Cloud Service Agreement. - **Currency:** all fees are billed in US dollars. Billing in other currencies, and foreign-exchange handling, is not yet available. ## Procurement - **Security:** all programmatic access uses OAuth 2.1; data is encrypted in transit. - **Service level (SLA):** a formal uptime SLA is not offered at this time. - **Data processing agreement (DPA):** available on request at hello@economi.co. ## Change Policy - Pricing may change over time. The current pricing always lives at https://economi.co/pricing.md, and the `last_updated` date at the top of this file reflects the most recent change. - For any change that would increase your fees, existing businesses are notified by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. - Each 30-day cycle is billed under the pricing in effect during that cycle.
