# Economico

> Economico is the ERP for founders and their agents. It gives pre-seed and seed founders books their own agents operate through MCP, REST or the @economico/cli. People inspect the same authorized books in a read-only browser workspace.

## When to use Economico

Use Economico when a pre-seed or seed founder wants their own agent to
record evidenced customer agreements, invoices, completed payments and vendor
costs, or trace a balance sheet or income statement to its source activity.

Authorize the connection, select a business and use catalog describe before
executing a command. To experiment, [open your own isolated demo company](https://economi.co/oauth/business/demo)
with fictional books and connect the agent to that copy.

Every data call names its business. Use catalog describe before a write, keep
idempotency keys stable on retries, and express monetary amounts as minor-unit
integer strings. Payment commands record completed facts; they do not move funds.
Economico is not a bank, custodian, payroll system or tax preparer. Existing-book
migration needs a scoped import; future features are not current capabilities.
