Bring your history
Start from where your books really are
Few companies start their books on day one. Your agent can bring in the history you already have, from a spreadsheet, an old ledger or a pile of contracts, recorded with its real dates and its source documents, without it counting against your plan.

Switching tools usually means losing the past
Moving books usually means an opening balance and nothing behind it. The contracts, invoices and payments that explain that balance stay in the old tool, so every question about last year sends you back there. Your agent can do better: it can read what you have and rebuild the history underneath the balance.
Record the past with its real dates
Anything your agent records dated before your business joined Economico is history: last year's customers, agreements, invoices, bills and payments. It goes through the same commands and checks as today's activity and keeps its source documents. Each imported entry shows who recorded it. Billing that was already due before you joined is not run again, so an imported subscription is not invoiced twice.

History does not count toward your plan
Recorded history does not count toward your monthly events. It uses a one-time import allowance: 1,000 events on Solo, rising to 10,000 once a paid plan's first fee is paid. The billing page shows how much is left. Anyone in your company with bookkeeping access can bring history in.
