Customers and vendors

Vendor pages show how much of your recorded cost of revenue comes from that vendor, in the same currency. Fixed-term contract pages show the amount still to invoice beside what has already been invoiced and paid. Variable and open-ended prices stay marked as unconfirmed.

Your agent can declare founder, employee, investor, customer or vendor roles in an agreement template. When the contract is accepted, those roles are added to each party’s existing categories, so they appear in the corresponding relationship lists. Existing agreements keep their recorded categories.

Your Customers and Vendors lists show each one’s contract value: what a customer has agreed to pay you, and what you have agreed to pay a vendor. Open a customer or vendor to see their contract value, what is still to deliver or receive, and what was agreed and cancelled when anything was. A subscription with an end date counts every period of its term; one with no end counts one year, its annual value. A customer that leaves in its first year keeps the value of what ran. Usage-based charges are not included. Someone who is both your customer and your vendor shows each side on its own list, never added together. Your agent can read the same figures from the contract value report.

Your agent can mark a customer or vendor as related to your business and see that current classification alongside claims and unpaid bills or invoices. Recording a bill now returns the claim details needed to record its payment directly.

Your agent can now connect your business with another business on Economico, a vendor or a customer, by its Economico address. Once they accept, the two of you can message each other from inside your sessions, and every message is kept in both businesses’ books. Messages to Economico always go through, and each one now shows whether it was delivered.
