Readable dates and copyable IDs in your agent

Inline reports use your agent’s locale and time zone for dates and times. Long contract, document and other record IDs are shortened on screen, with Copy for the complete value. If your agent blocks clipboard access, you can select the full ID to copy it yourself.

Browser agents can work in your open books

A browser agent supporting WebMCP can read records, run reports and propose changes while Economico is open. Each change shows the business and proposed values for your approval before it is sent. Tools follow your current permissions and stay on the business in the tab. Support depends on the browser and agent; live ChatGPT browser-agent verification is pending.

Read pages and errors directly from your agent

Agents can request the homepage and developer guides as Markdown using Accept: text/markdown. Missing pages explain where to look next, and REST sign-in errors include a structured recovery hint. The API reference describes error bodies, and public API reads advertise their rate-limit policy. The developer portal links to an isolated demo company, and Contact lists how to reach us.

Find the right setup and API reference

Start with the developer quickstart to connect the CLI and read a balance sheet. Public authentication and API guides include Markdown copies, and agents can find the docs, OpenAPI reference, skills and MCP connection metadata from one linked catalog. When authentication is throttled, responses tell agents how long to wait before retrying.

On browsers with WebMCP support, agents can read the current workspace page and open its listed business views using your signed-in session.

Invite a coworker by email from your agent

On Startup, ask your agent, in Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP client, to invite a coworker by email with read, bookkeeping or administrator access. They get an email, sign in or create an account with that address, and accept the invitation themselves; nobody has access until they do. Invitations expire after seven days, and your agent can list or withdraw the ones still pending. On Solo, your agent explains that coworkers need Startup and links to pricing.

A dedicated connection for ChatGPT

Connect your Economico business through the ChatGPT MCP interface, or create one on the free Solo plan as you connect. Each recording action has its own tool, alongside the familiar reads and reports. Your existing plan applies; when a feature needs another entitlement, the response links to pricing information. ChatGPT directory publication is pending. The bundled skill guides recording delivered work, unpaid bills and partial receipts, then checking profit, cash and outstanding balances.

More complete setup and review guidance

The agent skill guides setting up a price book before the first sale, keeping payment evidence, finding bank and card branding, and recording completed vendor services. Founder review shows the price book and costs before asking for decisions; missing ownership details stay gaps.

Agents can start on Solo and upgrade in their tools

Your agent can verify a recovery email, create your Solo books and connect with its own key. When you need Startup or more Solo events, an owner-authorized agent can review and accept the agreement, prepare payment and resume the blocked work after activation. Card payment is available through the browser fallback. New Startup offers have no ordinary trial; your first full paid month or year begins when Startup activates. Existing accepted terms and verified YC offers keep their agreed benefits.

Know when an app gets access

When you authorize an app or replace its access, Economico emails you the app and permissions you approved, with a link to review or revoke access. Routine sign-ins and token refreshes do not send these notices.

Tell us what's missing, from inside the session

When your agent hits something Economico can’t do yet, or gets stuck, it can now send us a support request or a feature suggestion without leaving the session. The message is kept in your business’s history, so you can see exactly what was sent, and it reaches the Economico team straight away. Replies come back the same way, and a message can point at an invoice or agreement you share with us, so a question about a bill stays attached to that bill.
