Economico for Grok

Grok is xAI's assistant, with Grok Build for coding and Grok Bot for work on its own cloud computer. Each connects to Economico: a custom connector in the app, one command in Grok Build, or one line for Grok Bot.

What Grok is

Grok is xAI's assistant at grok.com and in the iOS and Android apps. Grok Build is xAI's open-source coding agent for the terminal. Grok Bot works on a dedicated cloud computer with a shell and a browser. The app and Grok Build connect to remote MCP servers such as Economico; Grok Bot can follow Economico's setup guide on its own computer.

Grok app: add a custom connector

Open Connectors at grok.com/connectors and choose New Connector → Custom.
Enter the server URL below.
Connect. Grok opens the sign-in: use your email or Google, create your company or pick an existing one, and approve what Grok may do.

On Business and Enterprise plans, an admin makes the connector available first.

Grok Build: one command

Add the server. On first use Grok Build opens the browser for you to sign in and approve access.

Add the MCP server

grok mcp add --transport http economico https://economi.co/mcp

Grok Build also runs shell commands, so the CLI works too: npm install -g @economico/cli, then economico login.

Grok Bot: hand it the setup guide

Paste this line. Grok Bot reads /skill.md, sets up the connection and opens the sign-in for you to approve.

Ask in plain language. Grok finds the right commands, posts balanced entries and reads the result back. Copy one to try:

Record what a customer owes

Month summary

Summarize this month's recorded invoices, payments received, open balances and recognized revenue. Show the source entries.

Which Grok should I use?

The one you already work in. The app suits questions about your books; Grok Build suits recording from your code and terminal; Grok Bot suits longer tasks on its own computer. All three reach the same books.

Does Economico get access to my X account or other connectors?

No. Economico receives only what Grok records in your books and the reports it asks for. It never asks for access to your other accounts.
