Economico for Claude

Claude is Anthropic's assistant on the web, desktop and mobile, including Cowork. It connects to Economico as a custom connector over MCP: add one URL, sign in once, and ask about your books in the same conversations you already have.

What Claude is

Claude is Anthropic's assistant at claude.ai, in the Claude desktop apps and on mobile, with Cowork for longer tasks. It reaches outside tools through connectors, which are remote MCP servers. Claude does not run your shell, so it connects to Economico over MCP only, not the CLI.

Add Economico as a custom connector

On Free, Pro and Max plans:

Open Customize → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
Name it Economico and enter the server URL below.
Connect. Claude opens the sign-in: use your email or Google, create your company or pick an existing one, and approve what Claude may do.

On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner adds the connector under Organization settings → Connectors first; each member then connects their own account. A Free plan allows one custom connector.

Record the $4,000 March consulting amount due from Acme under our agreement. Show the activity statement and what Acme owes.

Month summary

Summarize this month's recorded invoices, payments received, open balances and recognized revenue. Show the source entries.

Burn and runway

Using our recorded cash and spending history, estimate burn and runway. State the assumptions and show the source reports.

Does this work in Cowork and the desktop app?

Yes. A connector you add is available in Claude on the web, in the desktop apps and in Cowork.

Can Claude use the Economico CLI?

No. Claude connects over MCP only. For a shell-driven setup, use Claude Code, which supports both.

What does Economico see from my conversations?

Only what Claude sends to your books: the facts and documents it records, and the reports it asks for. Economico never asks for access to your email, bank or files.
