ChatGPT is OpenAI's assistant on the web, desktop and mobile. It connects to Economico over MCP: add one URL, sign in once, and ask about your books where you already work.

ChatGPT is OpenAI's assistant at chatgpt.com and in the desktop and mobile apps. It reaches outside services through apps built on MCP. Economico has an MCP server made for ChatGPT, with one tool per command and per report, so ChatGPT can record activity and read reports in your books. For OpenAI's coding agent, see Codex.
Add Economico to ChatGPT
- In ChatGPT's settings, open Apps, turn on developer mode under the advanced settings if your plan requires it, and create a new app.
- Name it Economico and enter the server URL below.
- Connect. ChatGPT opens the sign-in: use your email or Google, then create your company on the free Solo plan, pick an existing one, or open a demo company to look around first.

Menu names in ChatGPT change from time to time, and some workspaces need an admin to allow custom apps.

What to ask once connected
Ask in plain language. ChatGPT calls the matching Economico tools, posts balanced entries and reads the result back. Copy one to try:
Record the $4,000 March consulting amount due from Acme under our agreement. Show the activity statement and what Acme owes.
Summarize this month's recorded invoices, payments received, open balances and recognized revenue. Show the source entries.
Using our recorded cash and spending history, estimate burn and runway. State the assumptions and show the source reports.

Why a different URL from the other agents?
ChatGPT works best with one tool per action, so Economico serves it its own MCP endpoint over the same books, commands and reports. Other MCP hosts use https://economi.co/mcp.
Does Economico get access to my other ChatGPT apps or my files?
No. Economico receives only what ChatGPT records in your books and the reports it asks for. It never asks for access to your other accounts.
