I built this once before — a decade too early

I first built Economico — and shut it down — more than a decade ago, because the agents and payment rails it needed didn't exist yet. In the years since, building and running the venture-backed company I still lead, I've lived every pain point it set out to solve: I set up finance too late, and the stack I eventually stood up was built to report to investors, not to answer the questions I actually had as the CEO.

Real books are the on-ramp; the finance function is the rest

Economico exposes the whole finance function as agent-callable tools: your agent prices your plans, drafts and sends invoices, pays vendor bills, draws down startup credits, and records payments in dollars or stablecoins — all posting to a real double-entry, accrual-basis ledger seeded the moment you sign up.

Because contracts, billing, and costs live together, it also answers the questions a CFO would — margin and unit economics by customer or plan, runway, board metrics — and runs a what-if on your live ledger without touching your real books. Economico is the backbone; your own agent does the running. We never ship an agent of our own.

And it connects to nothing on its own. Your agent already reaches your email, CRM, and files — it reads them and records what matters here — so Economico works with anything your agent is already connected to, with no integrations to set up and no accounting vendor wired into your systems. Built for the very early

Economico is for a founder standing up a brand-new SaaS or consulting business with no finance person, early enough that there are no books to migrate: a recent YC batch, a side project, a company still finding product-market fit. It works best when you already use an AI agent and want real books from the first invoice. It is not for an established company with a finance team and books already in QuickBooks or Xero — starting clean is the point, not switching. See how it helps your kind of business.
